OPEN LETTER TO ENTIRE MAPAITES.
Sequel to an update posted on facebook and other social applications on the internet about the president/SUG Exco to have embezzled 2million naira from the SUG account.
I want you all to flow with my analysis without sentiments.
Note:- This explanation may look un-necessary but it will help in deciphering a lot for the wise ones as you read on.
(1) SUPREMACY BATTLE :
ND2 and HND2 students who can still recollect that Abiodun Adegbemiga Success, known as ASEPSO,who is a student in the department of Marketing and also the Students' Union Welfare Director of Mapoly at first contested for the post of SUG PRESIDENT but later swinged to TREASURER and finally picked WELFARE DIRECTOR. Ever since Glorious emerged as the President, ASEPSO has always had issues with him all because he feels he can also be the president and cannot work under Glorious directives or report to him. It has been a serious supremacy battle but the President has been managing him for a while now.
Asepso sometimes ago during the 2015 general elections declared him self as the President of Mapoly Students' Union in front of Senator Gbenga Obadara during SDP rally which was aired on Ogtv and was reported to have been given 250thousand naira, the President wasn't happy about this impersonation which was reported by some students of Mapoly.
In the cause of agitating for pure water to become 5naira by the house, Asepso solely went to meet market women on campus to sell purewater at the rate of 2 for 15naira which went against the directive of #Glorious the President and this is why up till today pure water is yet to be sold everywhere on campus at the rate of 5naira.
Asepso without going through the appropriate process, he took some of the boys that followed him about during his campaign and sew a "bib" for them and wrote "Asepso Mapoly" instead of Mapoly SUG Welfare Committee. He has been doing all dis because he feels too big to be working under the president's directive.
On the 21st of January 2015, this was the very day that the incumbent Exco led by Glorious were sworn in by the School Lawyer, the entire excos agreed to put on white shirts and black trousers. To show that make his battle for supremacy between himself and the president obvious, #Asepso wore something different entirely and wanted to steal the show so as to appear like the president (He actually suited up against the decision of the house. Check the pics below).
(2) STUDENTS' UNION BUS
Normally once a new Exco emerges, it is expected that the name of the past Exco or president on the bus will be erased and the new president name will be written on the Aluta bus but it is funny that our President, Glorious is yet to do so for over 5 months of his emergence as the president.
Mapaites, another area where Asepso feels #Glorious is autocratic and rebellious as stipulated in his petitions is because Glorious did not allow Asepso to cruise the Aluta bus all around as he planned even before his emergence, the President said he would not allow any of the executive drive the bus so as to avoid accident like it happened last year.
Asepso pleaded with the President to use the bus to get EED products around lafenwa sometimes ago which the President granted but asepso colluded with the aluta bus driver to use the bus to convey passengers going to ibadan and also collecting money from them.
(3) 2MILLION NAIRA MAKE-BELIEF STORY
Being an executive of the union I say authoritatively to you all that no money was withdrawn for personal interest by the executives nor the President.
The only withdrawal which was made happened before the SRA was in place and it was never 2million naira, it was duly accounted for by the President and all executives including Asepso attested to this when the SRA summoned all the executives after Asepso went round all classes to buy cheap publicity and that is why the President and the entire executive refused to comment over it.
This same mentally disturbed asepso went back to classes to clear the air that no 2million naira was missing.
He was even interviewed by Mapoly Press and he also attested that he passed a wrong information due to misinformation.
(4) ASEPSO AIMS AND OBJECTIVE
ND2 and HND2 students will remember vividly how Asepso splashed money and gift items like bucket,umbrella,clothes,biros and also hosted some HOC's at Adesba hotel.
He spent a lot of money during his campaign and he had already written on paper how he intends to get back his spent money.
Asepso borrowed 300 thousand naira from IWALEWA co-operative society at Sapon using his emergence as the SUG welfare director as a guarantee and also signed that he would refund the money immediately his budget has been approved, one Comrade Westo stood for him as a guarantor for him to get the money out from the society.
Asepso has never for once involved in the fight for students unlike the President, he is always after anything that would yield money.
If I may ask how many times have you seen asepso controlling the traffic ever since he emerged, how many times have you seen him going round classes like he does when he was campaigning.
Whatever he does is for his personal interest and not in the interest of the students or following the directives of the President.
(5) THE REAL MOTIVE BEHIND ASEPSO's COOKED STORIES
Asepso who has discussed with several people about his plan to buy Cutlasses,hoes,and other farming equipments and also plans to buy sewing machines for Association of tailors in Yewa North to boost his campaigns
Asepso submitted a budget of over 4MILLION NAIRA to the SRA.
Asepso made all possible moves to woo the honourable in other to get majority of the house on his side so as to ensure he gets something substantial from the house.
You must have been seeing Asepso banners all around panseke and iyana oluwo presenting himself as an aspirant for Ogun state house of assembly which calls ASEPO 2019.
He also promised some of them that he would not only give them out of the money but will also make them his Personal Assitants when he emerges as Honourable of Ogun state House of Assembly representing Yewa North.
Having gotten this privileged information, the SRA couldn't trust Asepso with the funds of the union.
Because of asepso, the house put up a letter of agreement which is to be signed by all executives that they will utilize the money given to them well and failure to do this, they should be penalized.
After asepso saw It that he had run into debt having spent a lot during campaign and also borrowing from a co-operative society due to the fact that the SRA didn't approve what he expects for him,since then asepso took over the social media to blackmail the president and SRA and the entire executives at large.
The SRA couldn't approve the whole money to his office for souvenirs so they decided to approve a larger part of the budgetthe welfare commitee s
Virtually all the excos signed, it was only asepso who refused to sign because he has hidden agenda.
Asepso refused the decision of the house which was to present a 5 in 1 book as souvenirs for the students and said he wants to give parker(ikole) or basket to the students so as to save the cost of whateva amount he is given which the executives were against.
(5) 5 MILLION NAIRA SMS ALERT PROPANGANDA
Hopefully one day Mapaites will discover that Asepso is sick upstairs.
The SUG nor President is not signatory to SMS alert account paid by students, it is a separate account monitored and operated by the management, Infact it is the rector that only has the signatory to disburse money from both insurance and sms alert account.
The only account operated by the SUG is the SUG account.
There is no doubt that there may be data entry error as numbers may not be entered correctly and the PRO has been gathering the numbers of students who complain not to have been getting sms on a daily basis.
Asepso is a propagandist and I believe putting off sum1 light will not make yours shine brighter.
He has always been against Glorious even before his emergence as an executive.
(6) PLANS TO LOOT SUG MONEY IS NEVER TRUE.
The SRA having approved the submitted budget from the executives arm is another problem for Asepso since he would not be able to settle his debts or even get personal gains from the students money.
There is no plan to loot any money.
The SUG sport director and social director, PRO and other offices are planning to utilize the money approved to them for their respective programmes for the students like Mapoly SUG cup, Stand up Mapoly, Mapoly Rap battle , Life after School for ND2 and HND2 students , Talent hunt and other symposium to be presented this semester and also the capital project by the union.
Is this looting?
If no other person will agree, but I know some students out there knows Glorious better and know he is never a greedy or money-conscious type And more than humble.
(7) THE PICTURE USED by MAPOLY HUNTER
The pics where the President was kneeling down was stolen from the president's facebook account since his account is made public to everyone.
He took that pic on the 18th of December 2014 after he won the election and people trekked down happily to kuto stadium, he was asked to kneel down as they chant aluta songs, victory songs, they poured him water as usual and prayed for him.
Must we destroy ourselves becuase today.?
(8) ASEPSO KNOWS MAPOLY HUNTER
Yes and Yes, the only person that can tell the whole world who mapoly hunter is, his asepso.
Mapoly Hunter already wrote everything that was distributed by asepso to every corners of the school before asepso arrived on campus.
Mapaites, if we hold asepso tightly, he will produce mapoly hunter.
